Robert Loeb is President of Robert Loeb and

In 1974, Mr. Loeb began his professional career as a financial analyst for Southern Natural
Resources in the company’s Wall Street office. He managed a project to select new money managers for the company’s $60 million pension fund. In 1976, he moved to the company’s Long
Range Planning and Acquisition Department.
In 1978 he joined Welders Equipment Company in Victoria, where he served as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the business. During his 18
years at Welders, the company instituted budgeting and financial planning, made four acquisitions and transitioned to an online computer system. In this time the company went from
two to ten locations as sales grew from $4 million to $24 million per year. In 1996, Mr. Loeb helped negotiate the sale of the company to Airgas, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange Company.
At Airgas, Mr. Loeb created and directed the AirShare Program, a field-driven program to identify, document and implement “best practices” within a decentralized national company. This two-year
program resulted in the publication of Administrative Best Practices and Operational Best Practices.
In 1998, Mr. Loeb became Director of Information Services at Airgas, Inc. In addition to managing
a 30-member department, he led several task forces that selected national vendors for long distance, frame relay, forms printing and document outsourcing. These projects produced total
savings of $2.95 million per year and performance standards for national vendors.
Mr. Loeb is an owner and co-developed Castle Hills Self Storage and Austin Highway Self Storage
that opened in 2002 and 2005 respectively. In 2010, Mr. Loeb bought majority ownership and assumed management of 3009 Self Storage. All three of these facilities are state of the art 90,000
SF plus three story self-storage facilities in San Antonio, Texas. Since October 2006 he and his partner have operated a Contract Postal Unit inside Castle Hills Self Storage. More information

Mr. Loeb is active in civic and charitable organizations. He is past president of the Victoria YMCA,
Victoria Regional Museum Association, Victoria Preservation, Inc. and Victoria Country Club. Currently, he is Chairman of the Victoria County Navigation District and Victoria Business and
Education Coalition. Mr. Loeb is also currently President of the Texas Self Storage Association.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Loeb graduated from the University of Wisconsin with
honors (1972) and then received a master’s degree in business administration from Emory University (1974) where he was first in his class. He is married to the former Margery Engel of
Victoria. The couple has two grown daughters.
